LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY
11 May 2016 – HANSARD
HAWKESBURY SHOW
Mr DOMINIC PERROTTET (Hawkesbury—Minister for Finance, Services and Property) (13:15): I congratulate Phil Close and all the team at the Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association for organising the 130th annual Hawkesbury Show. The Hawkesbury Show is the largest rural show in New South Wales and is important to the community of the northwest, and indeed Western Sydney in general. It attracts more than 50,000 visitors each year and puts Hawkesbury on the map. This year I was pleased to be involved in the official opening ceremony with Mrs Louise Markus, MP, the member for Macquarie, and the show was officially opened by Mr Alan Jones, AO, as well as other prominent members of the Hawkesbury community. The show has a long and proud history together with a legacy that has been ingrained with the Hawkesbury’s agricultural heritage. I commend the hard work of community groups and businesses for making this event another great success.
