Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet MP has today announced $50,000 in NSW Government funding for 8 sporting projects as part of the 2015/16 Local Sport Grant Program.
Funding has been provided to:
- Glossodia Cricket Club Inc for the purchase of a compaction roller for the turk cricket pitch at Woodbury Oval
- Oakville United Soccer Club for purchasing of a line marking machine for use at Colbee Park
- Hawkesbury District Tennis Association Inc for the purchase of new nets and a super sopper at Richmond Tennis Centre
- Macquarie Towns Hot Rod Club Inc for upgrade of toilet facilities at Clarendon Showground
- Wisemans Ferry Bowling Club for purchase and installation of a Shadola Sun Screen System for two ends of the bowling green
- Lowland Wanderers Soccer Club for provision of tiered seating to main pitches at Bensons Park
- Hawkesbury District Tennis Association Inc for provision of a junior development coaching course at Richmond Tennis Centre
- Wisemans Ferry and Districts Sports Inc for equipment for Swim School
“The main aim of this program is to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation in NSW,” Mr Perrottet said.
“Sport is a huge part of our way of life and the NSW Government recognises that.”
