The NSW Women of the Year Awards recognise the outstanding contribution women across NSW make to industry, community and society, and celebrates their significant achievements.
Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet MP is pleased to announce the Hawkesbury Local Woman of the Year for 2016 has been awarded to Mrs Anne Maree Robbie from Cattai.
Mrs Robbie is the director of SAFE Rescue, a Hawkesbury animal rescue group that works to save and re-home animals who have found themselves in Hawkesbury and Western Sydney pounds.
Mrs Robbie donates more than 40 hours a week of her time to animal rescue.
“I congratulate Anne Maree on her recent achievement and commend her for service to the Hawkesbury community,” Mr Perrottet said.
The 2016 Women of the Year Awards were presented on 9 March 2015 at NSW Parliament House by the NSW Premier, the Hon. Mike Baird and Minister for Women, the Hon. Pru Goward.
