NSW HSC exams begin for students in Epping electorate

17 Oct 2019

Year 12 students in the Epping Electorate have kicked off their HSC exams today, with English Paper 1.

Member for Epping Dominic Perrottet said 123 written exams will be held during the exam period, including the examination of 16 new syllabuses in English, Maths, Science and History.

“In Epping more than 1,300 Year 12 students will sit their HSC exams over the next few weeks and I wish them the very best of luck,” Mr Perrottet said.

“The HSC exam period marks a major milestone in a student’s education and if students are feeling stressed at any stage throughout their exams they should reach out to family, friends or teachers.”

Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said students in Epping are part of the 75,000 student cohort taking part in the exams this year.

“More than 61,000 students across the State will take part in the English Standard and Advanced, English Studies and English as an Additional Language or Dialect exams today,” Ms Mitchell said.

“Teachers across NSW have done a wonderful job in preparing students for their exams today, and I wish everyone the very best of luck.”

Exams finish on Monday 11 November with Design & Technology, and Textiles and Design.
