Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet has called on local businesses and community organizations to come forward with proposals for the NSW Government’s new Social and Affordable Housing Fund. The $1 billion Fund aims to generate access to at least 3000 new social and affordable homes across the State.
“The NSW Government’s promised Social and Affordable Housing Fund is now open for business and I encourage local groups to get involved,” said Mr Perrottet. “The Fund is a great initiative and will help communities deliver more affordable housing options for vulnerable families and individuals.”
Organisations eligible to apply include community housing providers, local government, the private sector and not for profits including faith based organisations, community organisations, landholders, developers, builders and financiers.
Organisations that can also provide land for projects are encouraged to participate as they are well placed to help the Fund deliver greater value for money and help provide more people with access to affordable housing.
